Pepin II “The Great” of Heristal (Duc de Brabant) Mayor of the Palace

Pepin II, known as The Great, was born in 0634 in Herstal, Liege, Belgium. The Great's father was Ansigise Meroving and his mother was St. Beggue “Begue” de Landin. His maternal grandparents were Pepin I “The Old” de Landen and Itte (Iduberga) (Itta) de Metz. He was an only child. He died at the age of 80 in 0714.
