John was born in 1770 in Saint John, New Brunswick.  John's father was John Nason and his mother was Sarah Jenkins.  He had two brothers named Lemuel and Thomas.  He was the second oldest of the three children.  He died at the age of 94 on February 12th, 1864 in Tracy, Sunbury, NB.  His burial was in Old Pioneer Cemetery, Tracy, NB.
