Johann Valentin Froligh

Johann Valentin was born about 1680 in Mannweiler, Pfalz, Bayern, Germany. Johann Valentin's father was Hans Henrich Frolich and his mother was Anna Margaretha Lampen. He was an only child. He died about 1728 in Ulster County, NY.

  The immigrant ancestor of this Freligh family in America was, evidently, Steven Vrelig, who, with his wife Ann Lysebeth, son Henrich, and a servant, was listed
  in the records of immigrants from the Palatinate in 1710.
  
  There appears to be two schools of thought over Johann Valentine's ancestors. From Debra Bondi (6 Limerick Lane, Balston Spa, N.Y., 12020-1012, resulted with information September 23, 1997), George Freligh, who settled in Plattsburgh, N.Y., was Johann Valentine's father, but it then wonders if Johann was actually Peter. Their children were: Ursula 1703, Hendirkc 1708 (married 1 Catherine Snyder and had George 1743), Johannas 1713 and Johann Bernard 1717.
