Clovis I (Clodovic)(Chlodwig) “The Great” de Meroving King of the Salian Franks
Clovis I, known as The Great, was born in 0466 in
Rheims, Marne, Loire-Atlantique, France.
He died at the age of 45 on November 27th, 0511 in
Saint Pierre, France. His burial was in
Sainte-Geneviève.

- Clovis died at Paris in 511, and Clotilda had him interred on what was then Mons Lucotetius, in the church of the Apostles (later Sainte-Geneviève), which they had built together to serve as a mausoleum, and which Clotilda was left to complete.
