    Jasper PULMAN of York had a close relative with the baptismal name, Florence -- a name which was extremely unusual in that time. Circumsstantial evidence points to her having the surname PULMAN/PULLMAN. Charles Edward Banks: "History of York Maine"; Regional Publishing Co.; Baltimore; 1697. Most likely a d/o Robert PULLMAN of Stoke-in-Teignhead, Devon, England. Gustave Anjou (b 1868): "The Pullman Family": typescript at FHL in SL City: (n.d.)
