  • "A British subject, who emigrated from Ireland (I have records) October 1816 to New Brunswick, Canada. He married Mary Nason Nov. 4, 1818 in Sunbury County before Judge Wm. Crabb.
    
    Apparently, after Robert Harold, a teacher, died around 1838, Mary Nason Harold married Andrew Beckwith, Sr.. Andrew's sister, Mary Beckwith was married to John Finson Cogswell. So, you see the Cogswells and Harolds had some double relationships.
    
    There is a Robert Harold in the first 1790 US Census in Portsmouth, Rockingham County, New Hampshire. Don't know if there is a connection with them. "
